Pawsome Dogs, based in Chicago and led by Melissa J Arteaga, provides reward-based dog and puppy training with a clear focus on practical behavior change where it matters most — in the home. The business offers customized training programs tailored to each dog and family, emphasizing positive reinforcement techniques to build reliable, confident responses rather than relying on force or punishment. Pawsome Dogs works with both puppies and adult dogs, addressing common problems such as barking, lunging, pulling on leash, and other unwanted behaviors through targeted behavior correction strategies. Training is delivered primarily in the dog’s home environment so that lessons transfer directly to everyday life, and programs are adjusted to fit each pet’s temperament and the owner’s goals. The approach centers on clear communication, consistent routines, and owner involvement so families learn to manage and maintain progress long-term. Friendly and realistic, Pawsome Dogs aims to transform dogs into well-behaved companions while supporting owners with practical, humane tools and personalized guidance.
