Secret Dogs Business

Secret Dogs Business is a Melbourne-based dog training school serving Bayside and South Eastern suburbs, with over a decade of experience helping owners build confident, well-mannered dogs. They offer a warm, practical approach using positive and balanced, stimulus-based methods tailored to each dog’s age, breed and personality, so training feels fun and effective rather than punitive. Whether you’ve got a puppy needing socialization and foundational skills or an adult dog struggling with jumping, barking, leash pulling, recall, aggression or separation anxiety, they provide both group classes and private home visits to suit different dogs and family routines. They’re one of the few state government accredited dog training schools in Melbourne and are affiliated with the Australian Association of Professional Dog Trainers, which allows them to assess obedience and help clients access council registration discounts. Specialist pathways include assistance and therapy dog training and certification — working with CSTDA to prepare service and therapy dogs for roles such as autism support, PTSD assistance and seizure alert — plus companion dog preparation for PAT certification. Trainers focus equally on socialization and owner education so families leave confident in managing behavior long-term. Scheduled classes, private sessions and certification options give clear routes for owners wanting everyday obedience or formalized assistance/therapy outcomes.
