Thrive Canine is a Melbourne-based dog training and behavior company focused on force-free, humane methods to support dogs with behavioural challenges and to prevent problems developing in the first place. Established in 2021 and operating primarily in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, they specialise in rehabilitating reactive and aggressive dogs using evidence-based positive reinforcement techniques and an empathetic, qualifications-driven approach (including study of free-roaming dogs in India). Services are tailored to each dog and owner: personalised one-on-one training targets issues such as fear- and owner-directed aggression, frustration-based reactivity, and intrahousehold conflicts, while group sessions include puppy classes for dogs aged 8–16 weeks that emphasise early development, socialisation and foundational skills.
