Blue Wheelers Portarlington is a mobile dog grooming service run by Kate, offering convenient, in-home grooming across Portarlington and nearby areas such as Drysdale and Clifton Springs. The business provides full grooming appointments tailored to each dog’s needs — from bathing, clipping and styling to nail trimming and ear and eye care — with options to follow breed standards or owner preferences. Kate emphasizes a calm, kind approach and uses gentle handling and positive reinforcement to create a low-stress experience, making the service especially suited to nervous or anxious dogs. Operating as a mobile unit means grooming happens at your home, saving time and reducing travel-related stress for pets and owners. Kate brings extensive animal experience to the role, including lifelong involvement with animals, competitive dog sports through the Australian National Kennel Club, and hands-on work such as truffle hunting with her dogs, which informs her patient, experienced handling. The service is pitched at owners who want professional, personalized grooming delivered at their doorstep, with a focus on comfort, safety and keeping dogs looking and feeling their best.
