Glen Iris Upper Veterinary Clinic is a long-standing, family-run veterinary practice serving Glen Iris, Ashburton, Malvern and surrounding areas since 1993. Run by a father-and-son team, Dr. Shane Moore and Dr. Gerard Moore, the clinic focuses on compassionate, holistic care that treats pets as valued family members and considers the impact of treatment on the whole household. They offer a broad range of services for small animals, including routine 15-minute check-ups for single issues or general health assessments, desexing (recommended at six months for dogs and cats), and a variety of surgical procedures — most soft-tissue surgeries and some orthopaedic operations are performed on-site. Dental care is available, including professional cleaning and extractions, and diagnostic capabilities include on-site X-ray imaging and blood testing (samples are sent to specialist veterinary pathologists when needed). The team emphasizes modern facilities, friendly and experienced staff support (including named support personnel), and an approachable, professional environment. The clinic operates by appointment and is often fully booked, so owners are encouraged to schedule in advance to ensure timely, thorough care. Overall, Glen Iris Upper Vet Clinic presents as a trusted local option for routine and surgical veterinary needs for dogs and cats, with a family-oriented philosophy and an emphasis on thoughtful, comprehensive pet health.
