OurVet Maribyrnong is a friendly small-animal veterinary clinic located in Melbourne’s inner west that focuses on comprehensive, compassionate care for pets and exotic companions. The team — made up of two veterinarians and four nurses — emphasizes preventative health and good husbandry to keep animals well long-term, and they pride themselves on client education so owners understand care plans and treatment options. Services cover routine wellness consultations and vaccinations, microchipping, in-house laboratory testing for quick diagnostics, disease testing, and health certificates for pets needing boarding or travel documentation. Surgical care includes desexing and routine procedures, dental work, and access to radiography; more advanced imaging and surgical cases can be supported through specialist referral pathways including ultrasound and specialist surgeons. The clinic highlights experience with a broad range of species beyond dogs and cats, including birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and rats, and they explicitly accommodate exotic-pet needs. Clients report compassionate, professional service from a small, dedicated team, and the practice positions itself as a convenient, knowledgeable partner for ongoing preventive care, diagnostics and tailored treatment plans for household pets and exotics alike.
