Northern Suburbs Training and Obedience Dog Club

If you’re in Perth’s northern suburbs and looking for a friendly place to train with your dog, the Northern Suburbs Training & Obedience Dog Club is a long-standing local club focused on practical, fun training for dogs and their owners. They run a range of classes to suit different ages and skill levels — from puppy classes for dogs 20 weeks and younger to basic obedience sessions designed to improve everyday manners and responsiveness. For owners wanting to get more active with their dogs, the club offers agility training (held on Wednesday evenings) to build coordination and confidence, plus Tricks and Dances With Dogs classes on Friday evenings for bonding and more creative training. Training is scheduled with community in mind — obedience and puppy classes are run on Sunday mornings, and there are regular opportunities to progress to trial-level dog sports. Beyond weekly classes, the club hosts special events such as members’ competitions, achievement trials, and social sundowners that let handlers showcase progress and connect with other dog owners. Membership is available online, allowing participation in the club’s programs and community activities. Whether you want basic pet obedience, structured puppy socialization, or to pursue dog sports, the club provides a supportive, volunteer-driven environment for dogs and owners at many different levels.
