If you’re looking for friendly, professional care for your dog or small pet around Blackwood to Happy Valley, K9 Walkies is run by Kath, a lifelong animal lover who treats pets like family. She offers tailored dog walking with a free introductory visit, walks run in safe familiar locations (dogs are not off-leash unless requested) and optional beach walks for an additional fee. For owners who need care at home, K9 Walkies provides pet sitting visits of at least 30 minutes—ideal for puppies, kittens, seniors, or pets needing medication, feeding, playtime, light household tasks, and extra social interaction. For holiday or longer stays, home boarding places pets in Kath’s home where they’re matched to routines and treated as part of the household (home boarding is limited to two dogs from the same household at a time; owners are asked to supply bedding, toys, and food). Kath brings experience from dog shows, ongoing training in dog behavior, and holds pet first aid and CPR certifications; the business is fully insured and police-checked. The approach emphasizes science-based, confidence-building activities and personalized routines to keep pets calm, happy, and well-cared-for while supporting owners’ work–life needs.
