City of South Perth Animal Care Facility

If you’re a pet owner in South Perth or looking to re-home a stray, the City of South Perth’s Animal Care Facility is a local municipal centre that looks after animals and supports responsible pet ownership. They care for impounded animals — including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and other birds — providing daily husbandry such as feeding, kennel cleaning and safe housing. The facility runs cat boarding with spacious condominiums and full care, and offers pet registration and microchipping services to help reunite lost pets with their families. For animals that need new homes, the facility facilitates adoptions and works with rescue groups to re-home stray pets. Beyond direct animal care, the team promotes community awareness about responsible pet ownership and public safety through local programs. Overall this is a community-focused animal welfare service combining sheltering, boarding, identification services and education to keep pets safe and connected with their owners.
