City Slickers Dog Grooming is a long-standing pet care business in Reynella, South Australia, offering compassionate, professional grooming alongside dog daycare and pet-sitting services. Founded in August 2000, the salon draws on the owner’s more than eight years of experience in grooming salons and a veterinary clinic, and places strong emphasis on a humane, educational approach. Their philosophy — "humanity before vanity" — means they focus on reducing stress for nervous or anxious dogs by allowing extra time, avoiding rushed procedures, and tailoring each session to the dog’s individual needs. Safety and clear communication are priorities: the team maintains strict safety protocols (including a policy against owners checking dogs on the grooming table) and works closely with owners to explain home-maintenance and grooming best practices. Services are comprehensive and customizable, from basic short clips and mini grooms to stylized or fluffy trims, with a range of add-ons and extras such as bath-and-dry, tidy face, feet trims and hygiene trims. Overall, City Slickers aims to combine professional skill with compassion and owner education to create calm, positive grooming experiences and reliable care for dogs needing daycare or pet-sitting.
