Hills Petminder is a small, home-based pet care service founded in 2008 by Katherine after she moved to Adelaide in 2007 and turned her passion for animals into a professional service. They offer personalised petminding (home visits and pet sitting), dog boarding and doggy day care in a home environment rather than kennels, aiming to give pets a comfortable, low-stress “holiday” while their owners are away. Dogs stay in a family-style setting with access to outdoor play spaces, supervised socialisation with limited numbers of other dogs, and attention to each pet’s routine and individual needs. The team are experienced, police-checked and insured, and the service emphasizes transparency and trust by inviting clients to visit and meet the carers beforehand. Dog boarding is provided under a signed Pet Owner Agreement with details on care and expectations, and the overall approach focuses on personalised attention, social interaction, and maintaining pets’ comfort and routine rather than cage-based boarding.
