Familypet Vet Coromandel Valley

Familypet Vet in Coromandel Valley (legal name Mclaren Vale Vets Pty Ltd) is a long-standing veterinary practice with over 34 years serving local pets and their owners. The team focuses on compassionate, gentle care using a Fear-Free approach to reduce stress and make visits more comfortable. They offer comprehensive routine care — health checks, vaccinations, preventative parasite control and dental services — alongside diagnostics (digital X-ray, ultrasound and in-house blood testing) and surgical procedures including desexing. They support breeders with progesterone testing, run puppy pre-school programs to help socialisation and early training, and provide wellbeing services such as behavioural consultations, microchipping and nutrition advice. Familypet Vet also manages emergencies and after-hours care, offers canine massage therapy for mobility and comfort, and supplies pet medications and post-operative items like medical pet shirts. The clinic helps with cat adoption and rehoming (including desexing, vaccination and microchipping) and supports clients with flexible payment options, pet insurance assistance and GapOnly™ partnerships to make care more accessible. The practice highlights a caring, professional team committed to ongoing skill updates and community-focused care, and has been recognised as a Great Place to Work™.
