Keilor Obedience Dog Training Centre (KODTC) is a community-focused dog training organisation that helps owners turn their dogs into well-mannered companions using positive reinforcement. Their approach emphasizes fun, reward-based learning with treats, toys and praise rather than punishment, aiming to strengthen the bond between dogs and their people. KODTC runs a comprehensive schedule of training classes for different levels and needs — from foundational obedience and staged skill classes (Class 1 through Class 4) to specialized activities like flyball for energetic, ball-loving dogs. They also host group socialisation walks to help dogs build confidence around other dogs and people in a controlled, friendly environment. Classes and events are scheduled to suit busy owners and are held at local community locations including AJ Davis Reserve, Airport West, with a full calendar available for planning and a members area for resources and updates. KODTC prides itself on a supportive atmosphere where owners progress at their own pace, community engagement through events, and a long-standing commitment to promoting responsible dog ownership and positive socialisation. Whether you’re starting basic obedience, looking for competitive or team activities, or wanting safe socialisation opportunities, KODTC positions itself as an experienced, welcoming option for dog owners seeking humane, effective training.
