German Shepherd K9 Training

German Shepherd K9 Training is a hands-on dog training service based in Altona North, Melbourne, led by Matt, a dedicated trainer and German Shepherd owner. They focus on practical, no‑gimmick training tailored to each dog — especially German Shepherds and other K9 breeds — aiming to build loyal, confident, well‑behaved dogs. The process begins with a free 15‑minute discovery call and a comprehensive 1‑hour initial consultation to assess behavior and craft a step‑by‑step plan. From there they deliver personalised 1:1 training sessions to implement the plan and address everyday issues like pulling, jumping, barking, disobedience and reactivity. Programs cover all life stages, including specific puppy socialisation and foundations work, a 12‑week reactivity program for fear‑based reactions to dogs, people or environments, a 10‑week Foundations Program for adult dogs, and a 12‑month Advanced Obedience IGP‑BH program for high‑level training. Their approach emphasises positive reinforcement, breed‑specific understanding, and practical skills that create lasting behavioural change, with in‑person sessions at their Altona North centre and tailored plans to suit puppies, adolescents, adults and rehomed dogs.
