Project Underdog Rescue is a Melbourne-based animal welfare organisation focused on helping vulnerable dogs and cats through rescue, vet care and community support. They operate Melbourne’s first 100% Fear Free certified mobile veterinary clinic, designed to reduce stress for anxious or fearful animals and make essential veterinary care more accessible; the mobile clinic also channels 100% of its profits back into their rescue work. Their work combines hands-on veterinary services with broader community programs — from their Pet Pantry that supplies pet food and essentials to families in need, to community days, parasite treatment distribution and volunteer programs. They prioritise keeping pets with their families where possible and preventing unnecessary euthanasia through support, education and targeted interventions. The organisation also undertakes advocacy and education about responsible pet guardianship and emotional as well as physical welfare, so pet owners receive practical help as well as guidance. Overall, they provide a compassionate, community-focused approach to animal welfare, pairing mobile clinical services with rescue operations and social support to keep pets healthy and in loving homes.
