Zenchel

Zenchel Kennels and Cattery is an experienced Australian breeder and boarding provider focused on Labrador Retrievers and companion animal care. Run by Sylvia Power, the operation draws on more than three decades of hands-on experience in breeding, showing, training, and trialing Labradors, with a clear emphasis on responsible breeding practices that prioritize health, temperament and overall quality. Zenchel aims to produce well-tempered, healthy Labradors suitable for family life, the show ring, or trial work, combining traditional breeding knowledge with contemporary health and training practices. Beyond breeding, Zenchel offers comprehensive boarding for both dogs and cats in purpose-built kennels and a cattery, where animals receive individual attention, daily cuddles, premium food, and climate-controlled accommodation (heating and air conditioning). The facilities are maintained to government codes of practice, reflecting a commitment to animal welfare and high standards of care. Zenchel also supports prospective puppy buyers by offering guidance to help families select suitable Labrador puppies and encouraging responsible ownership. Overall, Zenchel presents itself as a family-oriented, welfare-focused provider for people seeking ethically bred Labradors and reliable short-term care for their pets.
