Westernport Obedience Dog Club (WPODC) is a community-focused dog training club that helps owners and their dogs learn together across all skill levels. The club runs structured classes that cover everything from puppy socialization through advanced obedience, with an emphasis on positive learning for real-life skills like sit, stay, recall and more complex commands. WPODC offers puppy classes to introduce young dogs to basic commands and early social skills, companion and certificate classes to prepare teams for formal testing, and trialing-focused sessions (including CCD, Novice, Open and Rally-O) for those aiming to compete. Beyond regular classes, the club organizes training days and annual obedience trials, and keeps members informed with updates on schedules and events — reflecting an active, engaged community of handlers. Whether you’re just starting with a puppy or seeking trial preparation and ongoing training support, the club provides a welcoming environment where handlers and dogs can build communication, confidence and a stronger bond through consistent practice and supportive coaching.
