Leading the Pack Dog Training

Leader of the Pack Dog Training is a Portland, Oregon–based dog training company focused on helping dogs and their owners build confident, stable partnerships through practical, humane training. Founded in 2015, the team emphasizes a leadership-based approach grounded in canine instincts and a hierarchy of needs, while using positive reinforcement and safe, conventional methods tailored to each dog. They offer a range of hands-on options to fit different needs and lifestyles — from private one-on-one lessons and behavior consultations to more intensive programs like board-and-train and live-in training — and also provide full-day training sessions that combine exercise and focused skill work. Their board-and-train programs run in a variety of lengths, and live-in training gives dogs an extended immersive experience with trainers to address complex issues. The company explicitly works on behavior modification for challenges such as aggression and reactivity, and supports rehabilitation for reactive dogs with customized plans. Owner Robert brings extensive experience as a former law-enforcement K-9 handler and trainer, and the team includes certified instructors (including AKC certification), which they cite alongside client testimonials and active community engagement on social media. Leader of the Pack also provides practical resources and tips for pet owners, reinforcing their mission to help dogs live healthy, happy lives within responsible, loving families.
