Dogs of the North

Dogs of the North is a small, boutique dog grooming salon in Northcote that offers gentle, professional care tailored to each dog. Owned and operated by head groomer Susie Rosetzky, the salon operates by appointment in a modern, climate-controlled facility at 31 Green St, with easy parking and a calm cul-de-sac setting. The team prides itself on taking extra time for each dog—allowing breaks and play when needed—and on creating a relaxed, low-stress grooming experience that prioritizes comfort and wellbeing. Grooming services include bathing, haircutting and styling with a full nose-to-tail assessment and personalized advice on coat and skin care. The salon uses Australian-made, tear-free organic shampoos and conditioners and biodegradable products, reflecting an environmentally conscious approach. Dogs of the North also offers a gentle, senior-focused dog walking option called Senior Snifaries for older dogs who need tailored exercise, plus consultations to help owners choose suitable grooming styles and care routines. Because the salon focuses on quality and individualized attention, it operates a waiting list when fully booked; client testimonials emphasize the exceptional care and results. Overall, Dogs of the North presents as a caring, attentive boutique grooming service for owners who want a calm, personalized grooming experience for their dogs.
