Brigitte’s Dog School

Brigitte's Dog School is a community-focused dog training provider in Toolern Vale, Victoria, run by Brigitte and built around positive, science-backed reinforcement methods. They offer structured classes for dogs at every stage — puppy classes that focus on early socialization and confidence, obedience and basic manners for older puppies and adult dogs, social classes that give dogs and owners group practice and community interaction, and advanced training for graduates wanting to build on those skills. The school also runs a specialised Assistance Dog Program to train dogs to support people with PTSD, severe anxiety, or autistic children, aiming to provide real therapeutic benefits. For owners who need personalised help, Brigitte's Dog School provides home visits for tailored behaviour consultations and one-on-one training. Classes are held at a dedicated venue (the Melton Girl Guides hall) and the program emphasises creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for both dogs and their owners while educating owners in effective, humane training techniques. They also offer high-quality training gear designed by Blackdog to support science-based training approaches. Overall, the school presents itself as committed to promoting positive dog ownership through education, community engagement, and practical, evidence-informed training that builds confidence, good manners, and strong owner–dog relationships.
