AAPS Grooming at the Keysborough shelter is a compassionate, full-service salon run by the Australian Animal Protection Society that uses its grooming income to support shelter animals. They offer a clear menu of services for dogs and cats, including full grooms, bath & blow-dry, bath & towel dry, and standalone nail trims, with prices starting from $20 for nail trims up to $90 for full grooming packages. The full grooming package includes a full body brush, undercoat removal, styled body trim, face and foot tidying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, a hypoallergenic shampoo bath, blow-drying, a scissor finish, and cologne; additional charges may apply for issues like matted fur, flea rinses, skin problems, or behavioral concerns. The salon operates on specific days — Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM — and offers special cat grooming on the first Wednesday of each month. Bookings can be made online or by calling the shelter, and the salon posts before-and-after photos to show grooming results. They also provide clear pricing and policies covering late pickups and extra charges, presenting a professional grooming option that directly supports AAPS’s animal welfare work.
